The Israeli Army announced that more than 20 rockets had been launched from the Syrian territory and accused the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of conducting the strike. According to the Israeli Army, the Israeli-made Iron Dome anti-rocket system successfully intercepted “a number of rockets” over the Golan Heights.

In response to the rocket strike, Israeli warplanes and tanks targeted several positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) in the southern Syrian governorate of al-Quneitra. Syrian sources said that most of the Israel strikes had targeted the towns of Hadar and Khan Arnabah. However, no casualties were reported.
A larger response by the Israeli Air Force is highly expected in the upcoming hours, as several Israel official had threatened Iran with a heavy price if the IRGC launched an attack on the Israeli Army from Syria.
