The recent conversation of US President Biden and Ukrainian President Zelensky revealed significant differences in the views of the counterparts, who, according to globally inflated hysteria, “stand side by side to confront the terrible Russian threat”.
The phone conversation, already the second in 2022, of Biden and Zelensky took place on January 28.
Soon, Natasha Bertrand, a CNN White House reporter covering national security issues, posted tweets containing harsh comments that were reportedly made by President Biden.
CNN is now trying to minimize the damage from the scandal that broke out after the reporter deleted her tweet.

The screenshots confirm that the CNN reporter quoted Biden as saying that the Russian invasion is inevitable, that Kiev could be “sacked” and “occupied” by Russian forces.
In his turn, Zelensky considered the Russian threat remains “dangerous but ambiguous,” and urged Biden to make less loud statements on this topic, while Biden allegedly spoke about the inevitability of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February.

The spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council called the CNN reports false. Zelensky’s press secretary also denied them, claiming that all the data about the telephone conversation between the presidents, except for official statements, is pure speculation.
Members of the Republican Party of the USA are demanding the reveal of the transcript of the conversations of the presidents.
There is very little official information. However, hysteria is gaining momentum.
In addition to Bertrand, two more CNN journalists voiced the controversial information. Thus, another CNN journalist in Kiev, Matthew Chance claimed that he received information from a certain Ukrainian official, assuring that “President Biden said that the threat is imminent. He warned the Ukrainian leader that Kiev could be ruined, emphasizing the word “ruined”, looted by Russian troops. He said: there may be an attempt at occupation, prepare for a strike.”
The wave of information campaign continues, despite the absence of official confirmation of any of Biden’s words.
No matter what were the Biden’s actual claims during his conversation with Zelensky, judging by the policies of both leaders, the presidents disagree significantly about the true level of the threat to Ukraine. And the White House is deservedly accused of exaggerating it, as well of deliberate intimidation in order to manipulate Kiev.
Zelensky does not agree with the fact that the United States and Brussels are openly inciting military hysteria. The Ukrainian special services regularly state that they have no information about the upcoming offensive. Recently, such statements were repeated by the Head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov.
In his recent attempt to counter hysteria about the impending invasion, Zelensky appealed to citizens, asking them to distinguish rumors and fakes from the real facts.
It is surprising that this time the President of Ukraine did not mention the “Russian threat” and the “terrible Russian propaganda”.
“Today everything you really need to know sounds short and clear. The situation in the East of the country remains under control… We are working to have a meeting of the Presidents within the Normandy format as soon as possible to establish peace in Ukraine. It’s not easy, but there is hope. … The fact that some countries are taking out some of their diplomats does not mean an inevitable escalation at all. These are just the subtleties of a complex diplomatic game,” Zelensky commented on the situation.
Kiev is not happy with the escalation of hysteria by its Western partners, because, first of all, it causes irreparable damage to the Ukrainian economy.

“Such signals are more important when investments from one or another state come to Ukraine. The question is not in the volume. But if this or that business wants to protect our state and believes in its stability and stands shoulder to shoulder, wants to be a friendly, powerful partner, then you are welcome. Then this business comes to us,” the President said.
During his recent press conference, Zelensky once again demanded a direct answer about Ukraine’s inclusion in NATO. However, in response, he receives nothing but regular promises, and no progress is seen on the issue of the country’s inclusion in the Alliance, despite the loud statements of the Western leaders.
The empty words of the United States and NATO also come to Moscow, which significantly complicates the diplomatic process between the two sides.
“Against the background of the paper that was sent to us from NATO, the American response is almost a model of diplomatic decency. The response from NATO is so ideologized, it breathes the exclusivity of the North Atlantic Alliance, its special mission, its special purpose. I was a little ashamed of those who wrote these texts,” Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said, commenting on the long-awaited response to the Kremlin’s proposals on security guarantees in Europe.
The policies of Washington and Brussels towards Russia and Ukraine are almost identical.
Each side that the West is trying to manipulate does not receive any clear commitments, but only vague allusions and ambiguous promises. The West uses Ukraine as a tool to create problems for the Russian Federation, as an instrument of pressure on Russia within its own economic agenda. At the same time, the West is trying to manipulate Russia, but in order to influence China, its main geopolitical competitor. Therefore it applies the same approaches.
