The battle for the city of Severodonetsk continues. As of June 7, all the city districts are under control of Russian-led forces. Fighting continues in the industrial area, on the territory of the Azot chemical plant.
Russian Minister of Defence confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were repelled from the residential areas.
” Residential quarters of the city of Severodonetsk have been completely liberated. The takeover of its industrial zone and the nearest settlements continues. The offensive is developing in the Popasnaya direction.” – Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed on June 7.

Despite the threat of the encirclement of the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan area, the Ukrainian military command continues reinforcement of the AFU units deployed in the region. According to local reports, the Ukrainian special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) headed by major general Kirilo Budanov were sent to Severodonetsk.

Despite the AFU efforts, Russian-led forces claim new victories in the region.
According to preliminary data, the village of Borovskoe located south of Severodonetsk came under LPR control. First reports came in the afternoon of June 7, however, they are yet to be confirmed.
The city of Lisichansk is yet to be surrounded. Clashes continue in the Zolotoe region, in the village of Vrubovka. Fighting for Ustinovka and Priviolie continues as well.
