Following the liberation of Qital from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Iranian-backed militias advanced further in southern Aleppo and liberated the village of Um Tina.
In this way, SAA fighters and their allies de-facto cut off the way that may be used by members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and ISIS to flee northeastern Hama to the province of Idlib.
