The Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) announced on August 4 that its units killed 17 militants of the Turkish-backed al-Shamiya Front and Ahrar al-Sharqiyah in a series of special operations.
Two videos released by the group show Kurdish fighters targeting militants and military vehicles near the Turkish-occupied towns of Marea, A’zaz and al-Bab in northern Aleppo.

In an another operation, ALF cells assassinated two militants of the Turkish-backed Ahrar al-Sham Movement in the district of Jandaris in southern Afrin. The group released photos of the militants’ dead bodies.
The ALF intensified its operations against the Turkish military and its proxies in Afrin and its surroundings in the last few days. On July 31, the group’s fighters destroyed a battle tank and two fortified positions of the Turkish Armed Forces in southern Afrin.
Despite these repeated attacks, the Turkish military has not taken any new measures to improve security in the area under its occupation.
