The airstrike destroyed several engineering structures of terrorists, killed 50 and disabled a tank and three heavy weapon carrying terrain vehicles.
On Wednesday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that Russia’s Sukhoi Su-34 bomber has destroyed at least 10 terrorist strongholds on the hills near Ithrya settlement. The airstrike also killed more than 50 terrorists.
“The Su-34 bomber has destroyed more than 10 enemy strongholds near Ithrya settlement located on the dominant hills,” Konashenkov said in a press briefing.
He also said that Su-34 conducted an airstrike on the positions of the ISIS terrorist group in Homs province, which destroyed two mortar batteries with the crew and two armored vehicles with a direct hit. He added that an airstrike was also conducted on enemy manpower and military equipment near the city of al-Bab of Aleppo province.
Fighting between Syrian government troops and terrorist has killed over 220,000 people and displaced millions since its start in 2011, according to UN statistics.
