One person was killed and five others wounded in a terrorist attack on a base housing a Basij unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Iranian city oof Nik Shahr, local media reported on February 2.
Mohammad Hadi Marashi, deputy governor for security affairs said that the base “came under… fire this morning and several from the Revolutionary Guards communications personnel who were wiring the base were hit.”
At least 2 gunmen were reported on the scene of the attack. Then, they fled the area.
Security forces are working to track and detain them.
The militant group Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice) claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
